Clinical experience shows that less rigid personalities have a better prognosis

Assuming that emotional trauma is a major factor in Parkinson's disease, a psychological trauma therapy might be beneficial. I judge Somatic Experiencing of Peter Levine the most powerful. Clinical experience shows that treatments with sensory stimulation are very helpful for Parkinson's patients. Rhythmic auditory or visual cues improve movement in Parkinson's disease. Lifespan Integration is a promising psychotherapeutic treatment therapy of Peggy Pace. EMDR of Francine Shapiro has shown to be efficient in treating shame and other factors that are prevalent in Parkinson's disease. EFT/TFT of Gary Graig seems to produce positive effects what may be due to the stimulation as well as the placebo effect. Given the reactions that seem to be conditioned, cognitive-behavioral therapy may eventually be beneficial in a later stage.

In addition to the psychological treatment body work increasing energy metabolism looks very beneficial. I propose craneosacral work or reflexology massage but there are many other gentle body treatments that serve the purpose. It must only be light touch and very soft.

There are treatment methods that pretend to cure Parkinson's disease. I am convinced that they have healing properties and the terms "cure", "recovery" and others may have to be discussed and defined. I shall present such methods and people promoting them and invite you to discuss the subject in the discussion group. In any case I am convinced that a successful treatment must include body, mind and soul of the individual and I understand emotions and other psychological or spiritual aspects as a function of all three elements.
